This document supplements the Terms of Service of Gregforge Labs LLC ("Gregforge") and explains how paid features, subscriptions, cancellations, and refunds work in the Jyotish Vani app (the "App"). Paid features may vary by country, platform, account state, app version, and provider availability.
1. How Purchases Work
Any paid feature, consumable, or subscription in the App is sold and billed through the purchase channel shown at checkout, usually Google Play Billing on Android or Apple In-App Purchase on iOS. The platform collects payment from your account on file and remits the relevant amount to Gregforge. Your payment relationship is between you and the platform; we do not store your full credit-card number.
2. Subscription Basics
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly, yearly, or as otherwise stated at the point of purchase) unless you cancel before the renewal date.
- Price changes. We may change subscription prices. Where required by law or store policy, you will be notified in advance and given the option to cancel before the new price takes effect.
- Trials. Where a free trial is offered, the subscription begins automatically at the end of the trial unless you cancel beforehand. You can use a trial only once per account.
- Downgrades and upgrades. Changing tiers takes effect either immediately, with proration where supported, or at the next renewal depending on the platform and product rules.
- Provider-dependent features. Some paid benefits may depend on third-party AI, cloud, app-store, or data providers. If a provider changes, becomes unavailable, or changes terms, we may replace, modify, limit, or discontinue affected features.
3. How to Cancel
You can cancel a subscription at any time. Cancellation stops future renewals; you retain access to paid features until the end of the current billing period.
- Android (Google Play). Open Google Play → tap your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → select Jyotish Vani → Cancel subscription. Or visit play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions.
- iOS (Apple). Open Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → select Jyotish Vani → Cancel Subscription.
Uninstalling the App alone does not cancel your subscription.
The App settings page should provide a direct subscription-management entry when paid subscriptions are active and the platform supports it.
4. Refunds
Refund eligibility is governed by the platform where you purchased, because the platform handles the payment. Request refunds through the platform first; we will cooperate with refund decisions made by the platform and may issue or support refunds where allowed by platform tools and applicable law.
- Google Play. Most purchases are eligible for an automatic refund if requested within 48 hours of the initial charge. After 48 hours, refunds are evaluated case-by-case under Google Play's policies. See Google Play refund policy.
- Apple. Refund requests are processed by Apple under its Media Services Terms, typically at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- EU/UK consumers. Statutory rights, including any right of withdrawal under applicable consumer-protection law, are not limited by this document.
For purchases made directly through us outside the stores, refunds are considered case by case; contact support@gregforgelabs.com. Except where required by law or platform policy, refunds are not available for billing periods already consumed.
5. What You Get With a Paid Tier
The App offers four paid auto-renewing monthly subscription tiers — Basic, Plus, Pro, and Premium. All four tiers unlock the same set of premium features (full Vedic Kundli chapters including divisional charts, Jaimini, multiple dasha systems, sade-sati and tajaka readings; full Vastu module; full 36-guna compatibility analysis; deeper Panchang interpretations; unlimited muhūrta search; multiple chart profiles; and all notification channels). Tiers differ primarily in the number of Vani chat turns included per calendar month and in a small number of additive perks at higher tiers (for example a monthly auto-generated Vani reading at Plus and above, longer saved-chat history at Pro and Premium, and early access to new features at Premium). The current per-tier allotments, prices, and perks are shown in the App at the time of purchase and may be adjusted over time. Where a material paid benefit is removed during an active subscription period, we will provide a reasonable remedy where required by platform policy or applicable law.
The free tier may include optional rewarded ads for limited bonus actions. Paid tiers are designed to provide the purchased subscription benefits without needing to watch rewarded ads for those included benefits. Cancellation of a subscription returns the App to the free tier at the end of the current billing period.
5a. Vani Message Metering
A "Vani turn" is one user message and the assistant's reply, regardless of length. Vani turns consumed are counted per calendar month against your tier's monthly allotment, and reset on the first day of each calendar month (UTC). Turn counts at any time are visible in the App. Daily sub-caps apply within each tier to protect Service quality and cost; hitting a daily sub-cap pauses Vani chat until the next calendar day (UTC) without consuming additional monthly quota. Compatibility readings and chart profiles have their own tier limits shown in the App; other paid feature access such as Kundli, Vastu, Panchang, muhurta search, and notifications is not metered by individual use. Reaching your monthly Vani limit does not entitle you to a refund — non-Vani premium features remain available for the rest of the period, and your Vani allotment refreshes at the next month's start.
The free tier includes a limited lifetime allotment of Vani turns (not monthly), which does not refresh on app reinstall, account recreation, device change, or subscription upgrade-and-cancel cycling. Bypassing the lifetime free allotment by creating duplicate accounts violates the Terms of Service.
5b. Subscription Management
We use a third-party subscription-management provider to validate receipts, restore purchases across devices linked to the same store account, and maintain entitlement state. That provider acts as a data processor under the app store's rules; the underlying billing relationship remains between you and the app store. The current set of subscription sub-processors is available on request — see Section 4 of the Privacy Policy for the request procedure.
6. Taxes
All prices shown in the App may be exclusive or inclusive of taxes, depending on your region and platform rules. Any applicable VAT, GST, sales tax, or other taxes are collected and remitted by the platform (Google Play or Apple) per its rules.
6a. India-specific notes
- Currency and pricing. Where the App offers paid features in India, prices are typically shown in Indian Rupees (₹), inclusive of GST as required, and are billed by the app store.
- RBI e-mandate / auto-debit. Recurring charges on Indian cards are subject to the Reserve Bank of India's e-mandate framework. The app store handles consent, pre-debit notifications, and authentication for recurring payments; manage these consents within Google Play or Apple as applicable.
- Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Indian users retain rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, and applicable e-commerce rules; nothing in these terms limits those rights.
7. Family Sharing
Where supported by the platform, subscription benefits may be shared with approved family-group members, subject to the platform's family-sharing rules and any limits stated at the point of purchase.
8. Non-Transferability
Paid features are tied to the account that purchased them and are not transferable. Accounts that violate the Terms of Service may be suspended; in such cases refunds are not guaranteed and are subject to platform policy.
